Start with the operating model
Document locations, warehouses, territories, channels, principals, products, customer types and user responsibilities before evaluating screens. If a system cannot represent those structures clearly, reports will remain difficult to trust.
Test one end-to-end commercial workflow
Ask the vendor to demonstrate a real journey: maintain a product and price, assign an outlet, book an order, invoice it, move stock, record a receipt and show the effect in sales, stock and customer-ledger reporting. This reveals integration gaps faster than a module checklist.
Evaluate Pakistan-specific operating details
Customer credit, negotiated prices, distributor and principal structures, field territories, returns, promotions, multi-location stock and practical export workflows matter. Local relevance should appear in the product—not only in the sales presentation.
Verify permissions and evidence
A distribution platform should answer who can see or change a record, which location they act for, what validation was applied and how the resulting transaction appears in reports. Ask to see restricted-user scenarios and audit evidence.
Measure implementation, not only software
Data cleanup, migration, role design, user training, acceptance criteria, rollout support and ownership of decisions determine whether the system becomes operational. Require these items in the proposal.
Use the checklist on your own workflow
Bring one real sales, stock and finance scenario to a RANGE 360 requirements walkthrough. We will map it before showing the software.
